About me

I'm a born and bred proud Wellingtonian, and spent some time living in Vanuatu from 2015 to 2017. Moving back to NZ, Wellington once again became home, and I live in the Porirua region with my partner, our 2 cats and 2 dogs. I love my fur babies and enjoy being out and about with them on adventures and equally cuddling up on the couch with them with a good book or TV show.

I bring passion and experience to help you navigate life's challenges. With a background in mental health since 2010 and as a qualified counsellor since 2015, I'm dedicated to providing personalised support and strategies tailored to your unique needs. I believe that the most important part of my work is connection and building a strong, trusting relationship with the person sitting in front of me.

I'm a qualified supervisor and enjoy working alongside professionals who want to further grow and develop their skills, discover their potential, and be the best versions of themselves at work and at home.

My commitment to you

My journey in mental health began in 2010, and since qualifying as a counsellor in 2015, I’ve gained extensive experience working with diverse individuals, including men, women, and children affected by sexual and domestic violence.  I've also partnered with EAP services and primary care settings to offer accessible therapy to people of all ages. I work alongside you to identify tools, strategies and coping mechanisms that will help you specifically.

I obtained a professional supervision qualification in 2021, and have been offering supervision to Counsellors, Health Improvement Practitioners, Nurses, Health Coaches, and other allied health professionals.

My approach

I understand that everyone's experiences are unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. I focus on connection and building a strong relationship with you, creating a safe space to explore issues, identify strengths, and support you to achieve what you determine is important. I can provide the tools and strategies to help you deal with challenges that come up and can support you to grow as we work together.

"Through my years of experience I know that the most important part of my work is building a relationship with the person sitting in front of me. That's the starting point. From there we can look at what's going on for you, how it's impacting your life, and what we can do together to work through it."
